Frequently Asked DJ Questions

 

A: Yes, It’s of utmost importance that your DJ understands your needs from start to finish and “passing the buck” is a very unprofessional approach. In the unlikely event that I am not able to attend, one of my referral Dj’s who I highly recommend will be contacted. KZN Wedding DJ have alliance partner DJ who we would HIGHLY recommend using in the evening that we are booked. We can also facilitate the booking making your booking experience that much easier.
A: Yes, I encourage any Bride & Groom to meet their DJ in person before booking or signing a contract of any sort. This way, you can write down a list of questions you would like to ask your DJ. It is also important to be able to “click” with your DJ and for us to get to meet you in person to better understand your requirements.
A: Yes, REALLY!! We take photos at all the weddings we are apart of. We are not here to take over the photographers job & never will we get in the way of him/her. It’s always nice to get a few shots from a different perspective & these photos are given to you via Dropbox when you return from your Honeymoon. Check out our Wedding Photos on our Blog.
A: Firstly, ask your DJ how long he has been in the industry and if he has any traceable references from past Bridal Couples. Make sure you you check these references are up to date. : What is included in the advertised package? : Many DJ’s charge for additional hours – what is the rate per Hour? : What is needed from your side? Tables, Chairs, Catering requirements etc. : Can I choose what genres of music are played?
A: Yes, you have the choice of booking us for your Ceremony and Pre-drinks as well as your Reception. Ceremony includes the following songs: Processional , Recessional, Unity Candle Hymns and any other music you may require to make your Ceremony one to remember in years to come. We can also provide the sound equipment for guitars and Keyboards to plug into. Extra microphones may also be needed. We also provide Sound equipment for Beach Weddings in KZN. Battery operated speakers mean there is no need for generators or inverters on the beach in order to have Music & a Microphone.
A: We do not hold dates unless a booking deposit is paid. All bookings work on a first come first serve basis however should there be a request for quotation for the same date as you have requested, an email will be sent to you informing you of this. Send an enquiry now
A: That’s simple! Just pop us an email or visit the Contact us Page and  we will send you the relevant documentation along with our terms & conditions which all need to be signed and returned to us along with a non-refundable deposit proof. Your Date will then be allocated on our system. Let the excitement begin
A: Many veneus assist you with this and advise you accordingly. We require a meal as services to your guests for both the DJ &  his assistant..

A: KZN Wedding DJ is based on Top Class Service & professionalism. A simple google search will show many DJ’s in South Africa. A DJ makes or breaks that “SPECIAL DAY” that you and many others have been planning for many months. I make sure all aspects of your Wedding are covered from sound to lighting, ceremony to reception and in some cases, even the after party. There are many imitations out there.. Be sure to choose the Original KZN WEDDING DJ I like to say “If you think a Professional DJ is expensive, wait until you hire an amateur” 
A: Having been in the industry for many years, we have covered many venues across Durban & KZN. Its very important to know a venue’s layout as well as where, and how far the venue is. If we havent played at your particular venue before, we prefer to do a site-visit prior to your Wedding to ensure all the correct equipment is brought on the day.
A: Yes, we bring backup of the most important components such as amplifiers and in some cases, speakers & microphones. In the unlikely event of electrical failure, this can be seamlessly swapped without a disruption in service. Check out our equipment page.
A: We don’t ask a lot. A sturdy trestle table overlooking the dance floor as a DJ’s visual appearance is very important. Please ensure a working plug point is close to the table.

A: Yes, We supply the LED lighting for your Dance floor as well as optional uplighting for your venue. Please chat to your DJ about this when booking so he can match this to your colour theme. Check out our gallery for some of our lighting.
